Life as a DINK?

Recently Greg and I have been given a bit of a hard time about the content of our blog. I think it is pretty funny.
Yesterday, I was talking with one of my best friends, Paula that lives in Coeur d'Alene Idaho whom I miss dearly and LOVE laughing with! I shared with her that she needed to check out our new blog site! Shorly there after I got a big laugh from her. Why, you may ask? I quote her (or something like this), "You guys are hilarious! Most people post pictures of their kids, and you guys have posts about other peoples kids, and your new computer...you guys must be having the time of your lives!"
The truth is....YES! We are having the time of our lives! We are looking forward to the day that we have little Gregors and little Karas running around, but until then...we are loving every moment together as DINK's. What is that? This last Sunday at church we learned that we are considered DINK's, Dual Income No Kids. :) Let's hear it for all the DINK's out there! :)

Ah yes, I remember the days of being a DINK couple. Funny, a couple at our old church referred to us as DINK. I had no idea what it meant before that. Oh the freedom. I loved every moment of DINKhood, but I'm not looking back now. Heck, who wouldn't want to have less sleep, get spit up on, pooped on, cried at for leaving a room (this just happened for the first time last night...hmm, do I smell separation anxiety?), and tied down to the fact that you never leave home without diapers and wipes? Life is so great as a parent, I absolutely love it....enjoy your DINKhood while it lasts. I realized how much time I had to myself before kids AFTER I had one. Love you guys, see ya in a few days!! =)

I totally agree with Alicia... I never knew how much time I had to myself before kids, until after kids. Enjoy DINKhood... its a wonderful phase of life! Live each day to the fullest.
